Invisalign® Cost

Invisalign® treatment is easy, discreet, and affordable. In fact, the average cost of treatment is usually comparable to that of traditional braces. Meanwhile, many insurance plans will contribute to the cost of treatment. However, because the treatment is customized in every case, the actual cost per patient can differ greatly. Dr. Kellyn Hodges and her team can explain your Invisalign® cost during a consultation at one of their Philadelphia, PA-area offices. Your total will depend primarily on the length of treatment you require. We offer financing options that can place any out-of-pocket expenses associated with Invisalign® within your reach.

Estimating Your Personal Invisalign® Cost

There are several considerations that will affect the cost of your Invisalign® treatment. At your initial consultation, your orthodontist will consider:

  • The severity of your misalignment: The duration of treatment and the number of aligners you require will have the most impact on the overall cost of your treatment. The typical Invialign® treatment takes 12 to 18 months. However, in cases of more pronounced misalignment, treatment will take longer, and the price will increase accordingly.
  • Additional treatments: To qualify for Invisalign®, you must have healthy teeth and gums. If your dentist needs to treat decay or gum disease before beginning orthodontic care, additional procedures such as fillings, deep cleanings, or extractions will increase the overall cost of treatment. Some patients also choose to undergo teeth whitening or other cosmetic procedures after their Invisalign® treatment, and these carry their own costs.
  • Replacement aligners: Undergoing Invisalign® treatment requires patients to keep track of their aligners during the brief periods throughout the day when they are removed. While some Invisalign® plans, including those tailored to teenagers, include replacement mouthpieces, others may require that you purchase an additional aligner if one becomes lost.
  • Insurance coverage: Insurance coverage of orthodontic treatment varies widely from one plan to the next. Our team will take care of all insurance claims, helping you maximize your insurance benefits. For patients with minor coverage or no insurance, we offer easy monthly installments and no required down payment.

A simple, effective, and comfortable means to a straighter and healthier smile may be more affordable than you think.

Why Invest in Invisalign®?

Though Invisalign® can sometimes require an out-of-pocket expense, this treatment offers some unique and convenient benefits that can make it an excellent investment in your health, confidence, and quality of life. Because the aligners are far more subtle than braces, few will notice that you are wearing them, and you can smile confidently while you are undergoing orthodontic care. Many patients also find the smooth aligner trays to be more comfortable than standard metal appliances. Furthermore, Invisalign® trays are removable, allowing you to eat all of your favorite foods while also being able to brush and floss normally. This can reduce your risk for dental decay and gum disease, eliminating the need for restorative care and possibly saving you money and time in the long run.
