Our Story

Kellyn Hodges Orthodontics was founded in 1992 by Dr. Kellyn Hodges, a Philadelphia native who set out to build a practice rooted in clinical excellence and genuine connection with her patients.

What began as a single office has grown into three locations across the greater Philadelphia, PA, area: Bala Cynwyd, Bensalem, and Montgomeryville. While the practice has expanded, the philosophy has stayed the same: every patient deserves personalized treatment from a specialist who cares about their results as much as they do.

Today, Dr. Hodges leads a team of orthodontic professionals who share her commitment to quality, compassion, and attention to detail.

What Drives Our Approach to Treatment

At Kellyn Hodges Orthodontics, we believe a great smile is about more than straight teeth. Our orthodontist in Philadelphia, PA, takes a whole-face approach to treatment planning, considering how your teeth, bite, and jaw work together to complement your unique facial features.

This philosophy sets us apart from practices that focus solely on alignment. Whether you are considering Invisalign®, braces, or a more advanced procedure like Wilckodontics®, our goal is a result that looks natural, feels balanced, and lasts.

We also invest in the technology to back up that philosophy. Our offices use digital impressions, 3D treatment planning, and advanced imaging so we can show you where your smile is headed before treatment even begins.

Dr. Hodges explains her practice philosophy.

Beyond the Chair

Dr. Hodges' commitment to improving lives extends well beyond the walls of her practice. She is a dedicated mentor, speaker, and humanitarian who has traveled internationally to build wells and support underserved communities in Africa.

Closer to home, she is passionate about guiding the next generation of dental professionals and giving back to the Philadelphia neighborhoods that have supported her practice for more than three decades.

Our doctors are proud members of several prestigious organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association, and the National Board of Orthodontics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you treat both children and adults?

Yes. Our practice welcomes patients of all ages, from children who are ready for early orthodontic evaluation to adults who are exploring treatment for the first time. It is never too late to invest in a healthier smile.

What sets a specialist apart from a general dentist?

An orthodontist completes two to three years of advanced training beyond dental school focused specifically on tooth movement and bite alignment. That additional expertise allows us to treat a wider range of cases with greater precision.

What should I look for when choosing an orthodontist?

Look for a board-certified orthodontist with advanced training beyond dental school, a track record of positive patient outcomes, and a practice that offers a range of treatment options. Membership in organizations like the American Association of Orthodontists is another good indicator of a provider's commitment to high standards.
