Braces
 Both children and adults wear braces for different reasons. For children with malocclusion (a situation in which the teeth do not come together properly), braces are an ideal way to fix a flawed bite. For adults, who currently make up 20 to 30 percent of our patients, braces can assist with self-esteem as well as aesthetics. Young or old, braces improve the appearance of your smile while fixing poor dental alignment that can cause early tooth loss and gum disease down the road.
At our offices, we provide patients with a number of options when they receive braces. While traditional metal braces are available in several different colors, we also offer nearly invisible ceramic braces that are just as effective. These ceramic braces are a good idea for those who need braces but may feel self-conscious about wearing them.
Regardless of what kind of braces you receive, it’s important that you observe good oral hygiene throughout treatment. We recommend that you spend a few minutes each day examining your braces with a mirror to make sure they are clean and in good condition. You will need to give up certain foods such as bubblegum, hard candies, popcorn, and tough meats when you have braces. This is to ensure you do not bend the appliances or spend an excessively long time cleaning them.

Invisalign®

The new Invisalign® system is virtually undetectable and much more comfortable than traditional braces. Invisalign® utilizes custom fitted aligners made of a sturdy, durable clear plastic that fit over your teeth. The aligners, which are worn at all times except when eating or drinking, will help guide misaligned or crooked teeth into position creating a straight, healthy, and happy smile. Though you’ll wear the aligners for the same duration as you would have worn braces, you’ll achieve that winning smile without anyone else knowing about your orthodontic treatment.

Fast Acting Adult Braces (FAAB)

Wilckodontics®
Those who’ve had to wear braces or endure other orthodontic treatment for an extended period of time can attest to the adage that “The hardest part is the waiting.” Some adolescents may feel self-conscious or uncomfortable wearing braces for up to three years and some adults may not have the time to dedicate to a standard braces treatment. With the revolutionary Wilckodontics® procedure, however, your orthodontic treatment time is drastically reduced. In some cases treatment requires only one quarter of the time it would regularly take.
